Life doesn't slow down, it just moves faster.
I've been working a lot over the holiday season, but now that is over I am sure my weeks will be more normal where I am only getting 12-17 hrs a week and the last 6 weeks its been 30 or more. Can't complain, the money is good. 💞💞
Looking forward to riding this week....although it's been cold! Just need to dress for it. Haven't been able to scoop the pasture since the poop is frozen to the ground and hauling hot water out to the horses is a bit annoying...but it has been beautiful out and it doesn't get better than that!
Reagan's collar bone has healed up nicely and she will be riding with me again soon, I have missed my riding buddy. And in other news... Heidi will be 14 in 2 weeks! She has bloomed into an amazing young lady. Such a joy. I'll only be really raising her for 4 more years... And not really that. If I could have done some things differently, I would. I would have eliminated barn and horses completely until about this age and just really focused on my kids. When people tell you that the time passes quickly, you believe them, but are in the throws of young baby years and often the days are long. But all in all I am proud of the young women they are becoming and I am thankful for my parents and Todd's parents who have been married over 90 years combined who have showed us how to stick it out and love each other. It has given my own kids a stable home with 2 (very imperfect...but) loving parents. I am looking forward to the rest of my teen raising years. So many have said 13-15 is the worst, but so far it has been a blast! My favorite is when I come in from cleaning the pasture in the evening and the neighborhood kids are all in my kitchen giggling up a storm and line dancing. They fill the house with happy noises, eat all my groceries and have a wonderful time creating clean fun.
I love my life, my husband, my kids, my little farm....I am blessed beyond anything I deserve, and I thank the Lord first and foremost for allowing me this rich and amazing journey.
Looking forward to what 2017 holds. Happy New Years!
