Riding with My Reagan

So, we are leasing an older black little Quarter horse mare named Chick.  I have known this horse for a while, she used to belong to some friends of ours.
Chick (short for Chickadee) is an older girl, she is 24, but she has nearly has much go as my Arabian half her age.
They have already become good friends.  This is them grazing in the paddock behind the barn I am keeping her at this week before horse camping.  All the ponies are in one place so they can load up and go.

It had been a long while since Chick had her feet done, so my farrier, Lisa Soete came out and did a great job on her feet.  Thanks Lisa!  What a difference.

Reagan could hardly wait for Renata to finish up getting her new shoes on so we could go for a ride.  There are trails behind the barn where we are keeping the horses at.  She was SO excited!!!
I was too, I am finally getting to do what I love and bring my kids along.
Names of the trails we were on today.  Beautiful day to be riding!

My big girl, riding all by herself!

                                                      I LOVE this picture.  Precious.
Chick and Reagan, they have become fast friends.  Chick moves out fast and Reagan prefers that to a slow horse.  We ran up hills today.
See the view behind us??  I love our area.
Beautiful view of the water out near Lake Bay.

Reagan even led the way for a while.
She untacked her horse all by herself and put her mare away.

My gorgeous Arabian.  Isn't she fancy?  Such a great girl.

What a fun day!!!  I had the best day out with my kiddo.  I hope you all are enjoying your day as much as we are!  Heidi goes with me tomorrow.

Penny Auction

**Update on funds raised from the auction for the Voice of the Martyrs...Laura writes:
"$ 550.00 !!!! That is the final total with all donations counted. $ 300.00 from the children and the rest in other donations. Sending the money to Voice of the Martyrs. Thank you Thank you Thank you to all who participated and donated." **

Yesterday, my friend Laura raised well over $200 for the Voice of the Martyrs at her annual penny auction!  The kids have so much fun because they get to give away a nice toy of their own to auction off and bid on a new toy.  So fun and for an amazing cause...

Rebecca and Katie.  Fellow homeschooling moms, and Rebecca is also our neighbor.
My dear friend Laura auctioning off a beautiful red dress.
                                                        Heidi with her auction paddle

Gabriel, he bought pretty smelling soap for his mom.  Sweet boy!

What Heidi bought.  I love Jesus, but this is ugly...IMHO.
What Reagan bid on and won. She loves animals.

Thank you Laura for putting this on.  The food afterwards was amazing and the penny auction was so much fun.  I couldn't be happier for the cause also.  Loves and hugs.

Beautiful Memorial Day

Yesterday after church, Reagan found a baby bird that fell out of it's nest.

How fun is that??  So precious!

My cousin from Snohomish came over to this side with her horse to ride out at Green Mountain.  It was the best memorial day!  We were going to go to a church bbq, but I really couldn't pass up a ride with Dawn!
